04 / ABOUT THE COMPANY
Independent consulting.
Clear responsibility.
I’m Rodrigo Salamanca, the IT consultant behind North Maple Systems. Based in Ottawa, I bring more than 20 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, security and technology operations.
I created North Maple Systems to bring that experience to small and medium businesses: solving everyday technical problems, improving the systems people depend on and finding useful ways to automate work. My approach starts with listening, setting clear priorities and making changes that fit the business.
You work directly with me. I take responsibility for understanding your needs, agreeing the scope, carrying out the technical work and explaining the result in plain language.

Built through
real operations.
Experience across production infrastructure, cloud, incident response, automation and audit readiness — brought to the needs of smaller teams.
I deployed Amazon Q Business to production so teams could query internal Confluence documentation in natural language.

First, understand.
Then, make it better.
You stay close to the decisions. Priorities, scope and the next step are agreed before implementation.
- 01
Talk through the problem.
What’s slowing the team down? What needs to keep running? What have you already tried?
- 02
Choose the right first step.
A focused review and a practical recommendation, with the scope and cost discussed upfront.
- 03
Implement. Check. Document.
Make agreed changes, validate the result and leave clear documentation for the people using it.
